Make Love by CUSP

Make Love by CUSP Friends constructing an inclusive culture of consent It’s on us to end s*xual assault.

It’s On Us was launched in September 2014 following recommendations from the White House Task Force to Prevent Sexual Assault. It is a national nonprofit organization that realizes the importance of engaging everyone in the conversation to end s*xual violence. It’s On Us calls on everyone - students, parents, community leaders, and companies - to step up and be a part of the solution. The four mai

n goals of the It’s On Us campaign are:
- To recognize that non-consensual s*x is s*xual assault
- To identify situations in which s*xual assault make occur
- To intervene in situations where consent has not or cannot be given
- To create an environment in which s*xual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported

It’s On Us aims to end s*xual assault on college campuses around the country through three main actions:
- Consent education
- Increasing bystander intervention
- Creating an environment that supports survivors

Here at Brown, we are dedicated to ending s*xual assault on our campus. Throughout the year, we will be hosting events on campus to create awareness and further education about consent and s*xual assault, provide resources and a safe environment for survivors of s*xual assault, and encourage all members of our Brown community to take a pledge against s*xual assault. Take the pledge today at www.ItsOnUs.org and help us bring an end to s*xual assault, both at Brown and around the country.

This week we have been doing our best to listen to the voices of black Americans and POC and be more active in unlearning racism. Recent graduate CUSP Captain assembled an “abolition reading list” of free/online content with brief summaries about abolition and the “real accountability we can collectively build to address and interrupt cycles of violence” along with ways to join the movement and take action also tagging some of our favorite black-led insta accounts here: starting with .cargle

People across the nation are protesting not only the abhorrent and unjust murder of but also the systemic oppression of people of color throughout this nation’s history. COVID deaths disproportionately afflict people of color due to inequality in healthcare, which is caused and compounded by inequality in the criminal justice system, housing, education, employment, and every facet of life. The racist foundations of our nation have been protected and perpetuated by complacency and silence. We must intentionally act to dismantle . Shared here are a few ways to help us begin… @ Land of the Free, USA
