What do you get when you cross a college educated, community oriented entrepreneurial-spirited young man from the inner city with the frustrations of inner city violence? Upon returning Mr. Catala rented an apartment in the Edgewood section of Cranston. Although this location is less than one mile from the neighborhood he grew up in (Providence’s South Side), he began to feel as if he was turning

his back on the community that he over the years grew to love as a child. Catala is a strong believer in the theory that “Living things grow and adapt” so he made a point to move back to Providence’s South Side in an effort to try an make the neighborhood more conducive to both living and learning with a primary focus on safety and education. In 2002, after his wife graduated from Lincoln University and started to pursue a JD (Law Degree) from Roger Williams University, Mr. Catala made the decision (with his then long time girlfriend) to move back to the neighborhood from which he was breed. Four years and a wedding ceremony and a daughter later, Mr. Catala and his wife made the joint decision to purchase a home in the South Side of Providence making it their residency as a life long commitment to his childhood home and the great people in it.

I was in a space with 5 Black men this weekend; 2 were supporting Trump, 2 were supporting Harris, and 1 was undecided... This shows an even split which is arguably concerning.

However, what's more concerning is only 2 of the 5 plan to vote.

I urge everyone to get out and vote before tomorrow at 8 pm.

Discretion is key first and foremost. Nobody knows which group of men I was with so, if you don't say, know one will ever know.
