💙 Honor October 7th through community and compassion.

In partnership with Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island and Leket Israel, we’re coming together for a meaningful day of service to support our local community.

We’re looking for volunteers to help pack emergency bags for seniors in our community. A simple but meaningful way to show our elder neighbors that they are cared for and supported.

Join us in turning remembrance into action and making a difference together. 💙

📅 Wednesday, October 7
📍 Bonnie & Donald Dwares JCC, Providence

We hope you’ll join us!

This year, Rosh Hashanah comes as we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11th, a day that forever changed our nation and reminded us of both the fragility of life and the extraordinary strength found in community.

The High Holidays invite us to pause and reflect on the year behind us and the year ahead, and to consider our responsibility to one another. In times of both joy and uncertainty, we are called to choose kindness, strengthen our connections, and build a community rooted in dignity, compassion, and respect.

At JCS, we are grateful for the community that makes this work possible: our donors, volunteers, partners, supporters, staff, and everyone who shows up for others in ways both big and small.

As we enter a new year, may we carry forward the lessons of remembrance, resilience, and community, and may they inspire us to care for one another and continue building a more compassionate world.

🍎🍯 Shana Tova - wishing you a sweet and meaningful New Year!

❄️ Weather Closure Notice ❄️

Due to the snowstorm, JCS' 1165 North Main Street office will be closed on Monday, 2/23 and Tuesday, 2/24.

Our team will be working remotely and remains available to support you by phone and email. If you have a scheduled appointment, our staff will be in touch regarding next steps.

We encourage everyone to stay off the roads if possible, check in on neighbors or loved ones who may need extra support, and reach out to us if you need assistance.

We encourage everyone in our community to stay warm and take necessary precautions during the storm. 💙

Proud to see our mission in action at Tamarisk!
Stories like these reflect the heart of our work 🤩

Every resident has a story, and being part of their journey is why we do what we do. Hearing how our community has made a meaningful difference reminds us that our community isn’t just a place, it’s the people, the care, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing you belong!
