‼️SNEAK PEAK‼️

Here’s an example of the brilliant performance style of Providence Baroque from their September 13th 2023 Concert. The magic continues at our March 3rd concert at 3:30 pm where Daniel Lee leads the Providence Baroque Orchestra. The concert will feature a spirited rendition of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos Numbers 4, 5, and 6.

Typical of his delight in exploring instrumental combinations, Bach expands the usual texture of concerto grosso – two violins and cello with orchestra – so that each concerto has a different color palette of soloists.

These three concertos feature solo violin, flutes, two pairs of violas and viola da gamba – and even the harpsichord gets the spotlight!

In addition to Daniel Lee on violin, featured soloists are Kathryn Roth and Maximillian St. George – Flutes, Emily Rideout and Sergio Munoz – Violas and Frederick Jodry – Harpsichord.

Happy Friday everyone! Museum Concerts wants to invite you to our latest chamber concert taking place on Sunday March 3rd at 3:30 pm! Join us at the First Unitarian Church in Providence!

Daniel Lee, orchestra leader and virtuosic violinist, will lead the Providence Baroque Orchestra in a rendition of Johan Sebastian Bach’s best-known master works, his Brandenburg Concertos Numbers 4, 5, and 6.

These three concertos feature solo violin, flutes, two pairs of violas and viola da gamba – and even the harpsichord gets the spotlight!

Discounted for students and low income: $10

Welcome! Museum Concerts of Rhode Island is thrilled to join you on Facebook!

For the past 57 years, Museum Concerts has produced affordable chamber music concerts in Rhode Island - featuring the best local, national, and international early music groups. We also sponsor our own Baroque Orchestra!

Our ticket prices are $30 general admission, $10 students/low income. We're able to offer high quality performances at such a low cost because we are staffed entirely by volunteers and receive 50% of our production budget from generous audience donations. Ticket prices only cover 40% of our operating costs, the remaining 10% by cultural grants.

As advocates for fostering a diverse and vibrant community, we are particularly eager to extend this Facebook follow us invitation to new musical audiences, especially those already committed to performing or attending classical music offerings. If you are member of a choir or instrumental group, or know someone who is, please follow us and share posts about upcoming programs.
