This year, we would like to re-imagine the League as a communal space for Black Cis, Q***r and Trans Women to find healing, love, support and inspiration as we navigate the uneasy terrain of Brown University. We meet every Tuesday to engage in discussions that are most pertinent to our community: conversations about domestic violence, love and intimacy, mindfulness and self-care. We focus these di

scussions to find commonality between us, but to also highlight unique distinctions from each of our lived experiences. In addition, we hold annual events to celebrate our beauty and excellence, including the Black Arts Gallery and the Black Appreciation Dinner. The 2019 Black Arts Showcase will be held next Thursday, October 24th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in Leung Gallery, and we are calling all artists to display their talents!
Performances, visual art, and other kinds of art are welcome, and all submissions will be subject to approval, as the event is open to the greater Providence community. The deadline to fill out this submission form is Saturday, October 19th at 11:59pm!

The Black Appreciation Dinner is happening tonight! A few reminders: doors open at 6:00pm, and you need to have your ticket open on your phone for entry. At 7:15, anyone with a ticket who does not show up, forfeits their ticket to someone who might be on the waitlist. Thank you!
