Best for Rhode Island is a statewide initiative that encourages and equips businesses to assess & improve their social impact. The program educates, equips, and celebrates companies to create higher quality jobs, strengthen communities, and preserve the environment through the power of business. Participants take a confidential online assessment - the Best for RI Challenge - that evaluates their b

usiness practices in the areas of Governance, Workers, Community, and Environment. Participants develop targets for improvement, receive assistance to help them meet their goals, and are publicly celebrated for their participation and improvement. Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) is partnering with business, community, and government organizations across the state to implement Best for RI. The program and online assessment were developed by B Lab, the nonprofit organization that developed the highly regarded B Corp certification.
