Yesterday, we were so lucky to have Migrant Justice speak to us as part of their Milk with Dignity Tour! Thank you so much, Migrant Justice / Justicia Migrante, for taking the time to share your mission with us. We were deeply inspired and resonate with your commitment to social justice through our club's aim to promote equitable healthcare for all. Learning about conditions for dairy farmworkers helped us think through critical discussions on the intersections of labor rights, public health, and advocacy.

In the spirit of the new school year, we would love to quickly reintroduce ourselves to any newly interested students. We are a Brown University student-run group that provides free health care screenings and basic primary care to the uninsured of RI. With the help of our community partners, we strive to deliver free care to underserved populations. At patient outreach screenings, our volunteers check blood pressure, test blood glucose, and spread the word about/refer patients to our community health partners (e.g. Clinica Esperanza).

Because of a recent update on pandemic-related restrictions on what student organizations are able to do this semester, we are temporarily delaying our membership application process for a little bit to work out details of our recruitment process and fall activities.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience!😊

The Fall semester is back in full swing! A few of our E-board members staffed our table at the Activities Fair last week to spread the word about our club. It was so great to meet so many new students and first-years who are interested in the public health world! More to come soon on our application processes and membership! Thank you all so much for your interest!

Here are some important dates to keep in mind:
-Applications for our spring recruitment cycle are due by 11:59 PM EST on Tuesday, 1/26.
-Decisions for interviews will be released on Thursday 1/28.
-Interviews via Zoom will take place for selected applicants on Friday 1/29 and Saturday 1/30.
-Decisions for our new Spring '21 cohort will be released on Sunday 1/31.
