Attention Class of 1986!!! Did you hear the great news? (If you haven’t been notified, make sure that the school has your email):

Dear Reunion Friar,

Rhode Island is making great strides towards reopening. New guidelines are allowing us to safely welcome guests on campus. After consulting with alumni volunteers, campus partners, and College leadership, we are excited to share our plans for reunion this spring and fall.

We are planning the following:

Saturday, June 12: Classes ’80/’81, ’85/’86, ’90/’91, ’95/’96, ’00/’01, ’05/’06, ’10/’11, ’15/’16 will move forward with an in-person celebration on campus.

September 17-19: Golden Friar reunion classes ’55/’56, ’60/’61, ’65/’66, ’70/’71 will be invited to participate in an on-campus celebration.

October 1-3 (Homecoming Weekend): The Classes of 1975 and 1976 will be invited to participate in class-specific events during Homecoming Weekend in conjunction with Then, Now, Next: 50 Years of Women at PC.

The decision to modify our plans for reunion was based on many factors, including the safety of our reunion alumni, the current and anticipated COVID-19 regulations in Rhode Island, and the guest experience on campus.

We are grateful to our reunion committee volunteers for their commitment and patience in planning for these important milestones. They have laid the groundwork for exciting in-person gatherings.

What a day! As you may have seen on the leaderboard on FriarsGive.org, our class knocked it out of the park earning BOTH challenges! We saw 67 classmates make gifts, and with challenge funds included, more than $169,000 was raised from the class of '86. We are just blown away! THANK YOU!


And the excitement continues! Support from our class, combined with other members of the Friar Family, helped propel the College to more than $2.1 million being raised for Friars Give from over 2,500 members of the Friar Family. We more than doubled our goal of $1,000,000 and instead made it a TWO MILLION DOLLAR DAY! To say we feel blessed is an understatement… We could not be more humbled and grateful to be Friars every day, but especially on a day like today. And again, we cannot thank YOU enough for everything you have done to make this possible.
