The storm brought widespread destruction and food insecurity to many communities. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to provide daily lunches for our students during a time of great need.

Clean water is not always easy to access, but it changes everything when it is.

Patriote de la Zone recognized that the Vergeon community relied on a mountain spring as their main source of water. Seeing the need, the board spent two years exploring the best solution to make clean water more accessible for both students and the surrounding community.

With the support of partners and the use of the natural mountain source, a water system was built with cisterns and water stations that now serves not just the school, but the entire Vergeon community.

A simple resource, a lasting impact.

“It’s not enough to stop at education. We have to think about what happens after, and give students the skills they need to build their future.”

George Milkowski shared how Patriote de la Zone continues to grow its mission beyond pre-K to 9th grade.

Many families in the community cannot afford to send their children outside the valley for high school. That is why a two-year vocational program is being introduced, starting with sewing and fashion design.

This program will give students valuable skills, a certification, and a real chance to earn, support their families, and build their future.

Every effort is a step forward. Every step is a building block of hope.
