In business, and in public service, we strive to be staunch and serious. At A.A.B.S, we incorporate fun and laughter into our work day. It helps to have fun associates such as Aimee the Mime, whom we are collaborating with as an entertainer for a potential neighborhood health and wellness fair. The truth is, when you love what you do, the heavy workload is always enjoyable.

Today's update from Washington, DC: The Choice Neighborhoods Program, which serves to redevelop distressed Public Housing, was not included in the Presidents budget. The program continues to shrink year after year, and we are seeing a movement to not fund it at all. Regarding my question posed pertaining to the Equal Access Rule, no further updates have been given at the current meeting.

Junior, a student at Central High School in Providence, Rhode Island, provided an astounding speech at the Anti-Hate Summit today. He spoke about how important it is to be respectful of others, even when it's hard. You know, it is hard but we don't do this work because it is easy. Congratulations to Junior on all of his achievements.

Big news on the housing front today: The historical bipartisan 21st Century Road to Housing Act has pending final approval in the U.S. Senate. While I am pleased about corporations being banned from purchasing single-family homes, I remain concerned about the "build to rent"aspect. Seems like a loophole. Corporations purchasing our housing stock is one of the primary factors of skyrocketing rental rates. I shall keep pushing to address this concern.

Picked up the latest copy of the Maine ADU Housing Guide. Accessory dwellings could be instrumental in addressing the housing crunch, but will enough property owners construct them?

Pleased to give testimony in support of Providence Public Schools return back to local control effective July 1, 2026. It has been a long RIDE, indeed (pun intended), and the time is now here to move our schools forward. I am feeling confident that our school district will flourish with a community driven School Board at the helm.
