Last week, Rhode Islanders gathered at the Providence Public Library for a conversation with U.S. Senator Jack Reed, RI Humanities Executive Director Elizabeth Francis, and RI State Council on the Arts Executive Director Todd Trebour. The conversation focused on the status of the federal cultural agencies, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts, and the overall impact of cultural agencies in Rhode Island. The event was also a valuable and lively opportunity for those who work in the arts, culture, and humanities sectors in the state to connect with one another.
