🌟 Great job, First Troop Providence! 🌟
Their dedication to restoring the riverbank will add immense value to the park for years to come. Despite recent government spending cuts that nearly derailed the effort, First Troop Providence secured last-minute funding to ensure the project moved forward. On a rainy day, Scouts, Scout leaders, staff, and Master Gardeners came together to plant native species and implement erosion control measures. This incredible effort was part of an Eagle Scout project, showcasing the Scouts' commitment and leadership. Their teamwork and perseverance are truly inspiring! 🌿💧

On Saturday evening we gathered at Camp Champlin’s Leidman Lodge to recognize and celebrate at Armani’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Armani’s brother Nathaniel, also an Eagle Scout, served as Master of Ceremonies. Congressman Gabe Amo had some great things to say in congratulating Armani for his tremendous accomplishments.

A couple of our Scouts in this class at the Merit Badge College this past weekend!

This morning I helped scouts earn their Weather Merit Badge for the 16th year in a row at the Narragansett Council - BSA merit badge college. We discussed tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards and floods; how they impacts various parts of society; and how to prepare for our crazy weather. I think there are a couple of future meteorologists in that crowd.
