A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Providence!

Why are these people smiling? They're almost all winners of competitively awarded grants from the Providence Rotary Charities Foundation: 24 agencies receiving a total of over $62,000. Non-winners in the photo, but just as happy, are Anthony Landi, back row left of center, chair of the foundation, and Bill Applegate, front row right, president of the Rotary Club of Providence.

Outreach Director, Luz Filpo, tabled at the Elmwood Adult Day Health Care for the Providence Senior Fair. It was great to gather with so many agencies from around the state with the focus on Senior care - providing access to helpful information and critical resources.

Year after year, these incredible partners continue to show up for Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island - and this year was no exception. Thanks to your help, and the incredible generosity of your customers, we raised over $2,900 in support of our programming. Thank you for your continued partnership and for helping make this campaign such a success!

A major step forward for Food as Medicine in Rhode Island 💙🎉

HB 8171 Sub A and SB 2892 Sub A have officially passed the RI General Assembly—bringing us closer to a future where access to nutritious meals is recognized as an essential part of healthcare.

This progress reflects what we see every day: food is medicine. 🍽️

Last night we had the pleasure of attending Federal Hill House Association Food Pantry & Community Hub’s inspiring event – Cultivate: From Ingredients to Opportunity. We heard their visions for the future, including bridging broader community support through our pantry operations. To top off a great night – we enjoyed a tasting menu prepared by talented local chefs and made from commonly available pantry ingredients!

🎉Wow – we are truly blown away by the results of the Rhody Regatta fundraising! This event raised over $10,000 for our mission! 🎉

Thank you so much to the IYAC Newport, RI and everyone who participated in the Rhody Regatta. A special thank you to Steve Eddleston, a boat captain and MOWRI Volunteer, who connected us to this opportunity because of his passion for our mission and hands-on experience as a volunteer driver – thank you, Steve!
