The Providence Tourism Council (PTC) strives to increase the economic impact of tourism, commerce and engagement of visitors through the development of events, programs and tourism within the City of Providence. Through public relations, marketing and events, the PTC works collaboratively with businesses, organizations and individuals to build awareness of Providence as an arts and multi-cultural

destination. By supporting the development of events and programs in the City of Providence, the Providence Tourism Council is creating awareness and assisting the many events, arts and cultural happenings to thrive.

From June 11 โ€“ July 19, experience the excitement of FIFA World Cup 26โ„ข right in the heart of Providence. Whether you're a lifelong supporter or just here for the atmosphere, the PVD FanZone is your destination for soccer, culture, food, music, and community all tournament long.

One of Providenceโ€™s most vibrant cultural celebrations is just days away. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡น

The Rhode Island Day of Portugal returns to 195 District Park on June 6 and 7 for a weekend celebrating Portuguese culture, community and tradition.

Enjoy live entertainment, traditional Portuguese food, folk music, family-friendly activities and a colorful parade through the city.

The festival begins at 2 PM both days, with food vendors and booths open to the public until 9 PM.

On Sunday, June 7, the celebration continues with a speaking program outside the State House at 2:30 PM, followed by a parade at 3 PM featuring floats, folklore groups and traditional Portuguese attire.

From June 11 through July 19, the PVD FanZone at Station Park will be the cityโ€™s free, all-ages officially, designated FIFA World Cup 2026 fan zone.

Expect live match screenings on the big screens, country takeover days, DJs and live performances, fan activities, local food trucks, a beer, wine and spirits garden, team merch and more.
