The Paxton family lived in a deteriorating apartment in Providence, RI, struggling with high rent and unsafe conditions.

Grateful for the partnership with Mayor Bob DaSilva, East Providence Mayor and the City of East Providence - Office of the Mayor to be able to provide much needed items to families and individuals across Rhode Island.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Providence and East Bay is on site in the State St neighborhood salvaging any building materials and fixtures from the homes recently purchased with a federal grant because of their location in the flood plain. Those homes will eventually be demolished and the property returned to nature to handle excessive rain and river overflow.
