“Let’s be the change you wish to see in the world”
Did you ever thought about Fireworks!?
Yes! Fireworks pile up crowds and give you a satisfaction.
But at what environmental cost?
Especially when the climate change has made its way to the forefront of the planet, it is important to consider the environmental impact of fireworks.
* People lose their sleep and also cause hyperventilation- abnormal breathing. [1]
* Most importantly, the bursting of firecrackers is very dangerous to birds and animals.
* It is a big torture to them as they have sensitive hearing. The loud levels of noise also cause deafness in some of the animals. [1,2]
* A case study found that within 1 hour of fireworks displays, strontium levels in the air increased 120 times, magnesium 22 times, barium 12 times, potassium 11 times, and copper (Cu) 6 times more than the amount already present in the air before the event [2,3]
I’ve changed myself ! When will you??
I am avoiding Fireworks 🎆. This is not a civilized way to celebrate something.
