Finn Building (left) and Kemp Building (right)
6th Street & Meade Avenue
Downtown Prosser, Washington
Circa 1940

Businesses from left to right: Pat’s Cigar Store (today Bern’s Tavern), Brockhausen & Hoch Bakery-The Red & White Stores (grocery), Nixon the Druggist (today El Caporal), and Nick’s Cafe.

As you can see, the name of the upstairs lodging at Finn building cannot be read, but it’s either the Palace Hotel or the Strand Hotel.

There are tall antenna-like objects that appear to be rising from the Finn Building’s roof. What might they be? Your guess is as good as mine.
