🎉 Back to School & Back to Serving Our Community! 🍎🥔🍐
With all the excitement of school starting this week, we were thrilled to welcome several high school students to the Prosser Community Volunteers youth activity on Wednesday!
📚 New Wednesday Schedule:
To accommodate the Prosser School District’s transition from trimesters to semesters, the Prosser Community Volunteers Wednesday youth activity will now meet from 2:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
All volunteer hours earned at the Wednesday activity qualify as community service hours necessary for Prosser High School advancement.
🎓 Scholarship Opportunity!
Graduating seniors who accumulate at least 18 hours of volunteer service at the Wednesday youth activity also qualify to apply for the Prosser Community Volunteers scholarships, awarded each June.
We invite all high school students in the Prosser area to join us on Wednesday afternoons! Come serve, make a difference, meet new friends, and have a little fun along the way. ❤️
And what a productive Wednesday it was! We had 2 youth and 6 adults worked together to package:
🥔 2,000 pounds of potatoes
🍐 1,000 pounds of pears
🍎 360 pounds of apples
That’s 3,360 pounds of fresh produce prepared for our community!
Thank you to all of our volunteers for giving their time and energy to help others. Together, we can make a difference—one Wednesday at a time! 🙌
