On Friday, SCECA lost a great friend and mentor to early childhood advocates here in our state as well as throughout the southeast. Dr. Floyd Creech was a past president of SCECA, and the SCECA representative to the Southern Early Childhood Association. He was the director of the Montessori Teacher Program for Florence School District 1 before his retirement. Floyd had a kind and gentle spirit about him. His love for ALL children was demonstrated daily not by his words, but by his actions. He will be sorely missed by all.
