Good Morning All,
Not since 1995 (30 years) has the historic Prospect Community Park asked for community support.
Our Park is the community’s Crown Jewel!
Almost all of our citizens, whether current or former, have enjoyed this amazing outdoor space. Over the years and currently it serves as a safe and enjoyable play, recreational and exercise area for our children, grandchildren, adults, and senior citizens.
For decades it’s been a place for family gatherings and reunions.
It is a location to accommodate service club meeting and community celebrations.
This 25+ acre area of natural landscape has helped our community stay vibrant.
It has served our village and township extremely well over the past decades (closing in on a century) and can for decades to come, as well, but we need to take care of this beauty!
In 1995 the 1.4 mill was passed. It has been enough to keep our Park in exceptional shape. Fast forward 30 years and recently Our Park’s operational expenses are pressuring its budget with additional costs across the board.
In this voting cycle the Prospect Community Park have the renewal of the 1.4 mill and additional 0.75 mill on the ballot. In TOTAL it will cost a homeowner of a 100k home $43.67 a Year (less than $4 a month).
For the village, township and all its residents it’s a tremendous investment.
Please consider voting YES for the Prospect Community Park. Polls open October 7th.
