ame and logo utilizes the snow flea, Hypogastrura nivicola, an insect about 1-2 mm (1/2 inch) long. The snow flea, which is actually a species of springtail, can catapult themselves in a random direction much like a jumping flea by releasing two tail-like “spring” projections. Although active all year long, snow fleas produce an anti-freeze protein which allows them to operate at sub-zero environments in January through March. They may be seen on the snow hopping over the surface particularly under small trees. Some Club members have observed an amazing similarity between these insects and themselves … but it is not a criteria for joining our Club!

Trail update:
Some have reached out in regards to trails/grooming. With the current temps we had the end of this week and following into next, our trails are now being changed to YELLOW aka CAUTION on VAST app.

With the temperatures the groomer will not be going out until further notice.

As stated in last post, the cookshack will be open 10-3 tomorrow becuase we believe some will be trying to get in ther last ride. At this moment Sunday for the CS will be CLOSED.
