Jim River Hunt Test- Get Signed Up

Time is running out to get signed up for the Jim River test, it closes tonight!

Dates: August 15th and 16th

Where: North Dakota Retriever Club in Glyndon, MN (Fargo ND) area.

Started entry is only $50.00 and $30.00 for HRC Youth.

We would love to have you attend, a few camping spots available on the grounds.

Tonight's (Thurs, July 16th) Birds, Bumpers & Basics session has been cancelled due to extreme heat and poor air quality.

Keep your dog's cool and use this time to be creative and work indoors on basic obedience and other hunt test skills! Share your ideas and/or post pictures of your indoor training!

Thank you to all that participated. Great weather, great handler and dog teamwork. Congratulations to those who took home an orange ribbons and perhaps a title!

🐾 Birds, Bumpers & Basics – Week 2 🐾

Thursday night we’re back at Kaos Kennels for another great evening of retriever training!

This week we’ll be focusing on:
✔️ Walking to the Line
✔️ Line Manners
✔️ Focus Around Distractions
✔️ Building Confidence in Hunt Test-like Setups

We’ll continue working in a realistic hunting and hunt test setup to help dogs and handlers continue progressing together.

Whether you’re new to retriever training or already running hunt tests, come join us for a fun and educational night!

🕕 6:00 PM until dusk
📍 Kaos Kennels

📋 MEMBERS: Please remember to use the registration link to sign up if attending.

To help us accurately plan for dogs, handlers, birds, and setup groups, please avoid only texting or emailing the trainer that you’re coming.

Lake Country Retriever Club HRC test will be held on May 30 and May 31, 2026
at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club, Prior Lake.
Entries are open on Hunt Secretary and close this Tuesday,May 19. We still have a spot for you!
