Good evening Lakers!!

Update on travel tryout times

We are still coordinating a few things with our evaluators and working through the football schedule to avoid conflicts! We hope to have tryout times posted in the next few days! Thanks for your patience!

The one thing we do know is that the ONLY grades to try out on Friday night (9/11) will be 6th and 7th grade BOYS only! No one else will have anything scheduled Friday!

🚨 We’re Looking for Fundraising Coordinator Help! 🏀

PLAY Youth Basketball is looking for a motivated volunteer to help lead and grow our fundraising efforts!

Our board has some exciting ideas to help raise money for our program, but we need someone who is passionate about organizing fundraisers and bringing those ideas to life. This role would work alongside the Volunteer Coordinator and help make a big impact on our players and families.

If you enjoy planning events, connecting with local businesses, or finding creative ways to support youth sports, we’d love to hear from you!

Prior Lake Athletics for Youth (“P.L.A.Y.”) is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide an opportunity for all children residing in or attending schools within the Prior Lake–Savage School District (School District 719) to participate in a well-rounded athletic program.

Recently, our PLAY Basketball family received some unexpected news. Earlier this July, our In-House Boys Basketball Director, Travis Keanaaina, was diagnosed with cancer.

If you’ve been around PLAY Basketball, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Travis. Whether he’s been organizing leagues, coaching kids, encouraging players, supporting families, or simply showing up with a smile, Travis has poured his heart into our in house program the last year and a half and our community. His passion for youth basketball and his unwavering commitment to our players have impacted all of us.

While he has a difficult road ahead, we know the PLAY Basketball community is strongest when we come together.
