Year 2026 marked the 85th anniversary of the creation of The
Flying Tigers.

Charlie Xu, nephew of Anna Chen Chennault, wife of General General Claire Lee Chennault who led the American Volunteer Group the Flying Tigers helped establish the American Flying Tigers Friendship Association in the US, hoping to preserve the spirit of wartime solidarity for younger generations.

Today, however, Xu sees the Flying Tigers not simply as a historical memory, but as a bridge for continued people-to-people exchanges between China and the U.S.

As the legacy of the Flying Tigers enters its 85th year, Charlie Xu is working to transform a symbol of wartime friendship into a platform for future cooperation, bringing American youth to China and fostering people-to-people exchanges.

We had a great time sharing the history and contributions of Chinese American WWII veterans.

So many at the Princeton 5K race did not know that 20,000 Chinese Americans served in World War II with loyalty and distinction. We are glad they came to visit our table!

We are on the road to educate, amplify and commemorate the military service of these veterans to everyone.
