In the final part of Princeton Foundation's "Mid-Year Self Journaling Activity" (conducted this July), we bring the self-reflections of the another two avid participants: Yanshi Vyas (Miranda House, Delhi), and Soubia Nikhat ipgdc (Govt Degree College for women Begumpet, Hyderabad, Telangana)

Both individuals navigated significant challenges: Yanshi faced personal loss right before a crucial event, yet exhibited the strength of staying focused and resilient, while Soubia learned the importance of letting go, patience in communication, and self-belief. Both Yanshi and Soubia took steps towards growth by being major anchors in conducting Zeal's first event (a workstream of the Princetnon Foundation). While it was not a smooth sail for the whole - both faced hurdles like rejection and self-doubt, yet both saw the challenges as opportunities to foster perseverance and discipline.

Common credits to the Princeton Foundation can be found in both the reflections, which in their words, served as an anchor for nurturing aspirations and courage for Yanshi, and as a source of guidance and growth for Soubia.

Princeton Foundation stays committed to counducting engaging activities and events like this for its fellows and scholars; to give them the space to grow holisticaly, and assist them in ataining the confidence and the ability to elevate the lives of those around them.

Specials thanks and credits go to P***e Swathi Goud, for conceptualizing this initiative. And to Ashutosh Pathak, MD, PhD, MBA, FRCP (Edin), Raminder Pathak, MD, and Jyotima Prasad for supporting the effort graciously.

Part Seven of Princeton Foundation's Mid-Year Self-Assessment Journaling

Activity:-

This July, the foundation's bright and capable fellows reflected on their growth, challenges, and dreams and today, we are proud to share the heartfelt stories of Adila Khanam (Jamia Islamia, Delhi) and Somya Ranakoti (Government Degree College for Women, Begumpet, Delhi).

Adila described the first half of 2025 as a period that tested her resilience through long nights, lab failures, and thesis writing. Being part of the foundation taught her that "hard work, kindness, and courage can coexist." The experience solidified her vision of becoming a scientist and fueled her fearless pursuit of a PhD and a dream to contribute something meaningful to the world.

Somya characterized her journey as a "rollercoaster" involving balancing academics, competitions, and personal challenges, teaching her the value of patience and self-belief. Winning a state-level competition and supporting her family taught her the power of resilience and kindness. The foundation served as a "source of light," inspiring her to pursue higher studies, promote eco-friendly solutions, and build a life based on confidence, compassion, and courage.

In summary, the fellowship acted as a crucial catalyst, taking both young women through difficult times and instilling the courage, resilience, and focused purpose necessary to pursue ambitious academic and professional futures.

In Part Six of Princeton Foundation's mid-year self journaling activity, we bring highlights from another two diligent Princeton Foundation fellows - P***e Swathi Goud (University of Hyderabad) and Shifla Ashraf (Bharti College, Delhi).

The first half of 2025 was a period of profound resilience and transformative healing for both Swathi and Shifla.

The year began with milestones for Swathi, but was quickly overshadowed by intense challenges, including toxic workplaces, professional rejections. Shifla also had to push through a difficult period of deep sorrow due to a tragic loss.

Despite these storms, both found their strength in quiet perseverance, unwavering kindness, and supporting their communities. For Shifla, grief became a catalyst for the meaningful personal achievement of expressing love to those who matter most, while for Swathi, it solidified a refusal to yield.

Both graciously credited the foundation for having been their anchor and guiding light through trying times, providing the necessary belief, inspiration, and motivation to rebuild and refuse to give up when facing adversity.

Part Five of Princeton Foundation's Mid-Year Self Journaling Activity brings responses from another two brilliant students; Preyosee Das (Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi), and Trandali Kashyap (Miranda House, Delhi).

Both Preyosee and Trandali, fellows of the Princeton Foundation for Peace and Learning - experienced a period of profound reflection and growth in the first half of 2025. Preyosee realized growth is about "understanding myself more deeply" and approaching life with "empathy and intention". While Trandali's self-assessment built resilience, teaching her to face challenges with a "positive mindset," evidenced by her presentation of a paper on a social issue and finding a high point in friendship.

Moving forward, both are committed to carrying this clarity, aiming to nurture their well-being and become more thoughtful, compassionate, and dependable versions of themselves. Which is exactly the direction Princeton Fundation wants its fellows and scholars to follow.

🌼 Part Five of Princeton Foundation’s Mid-Year Self-Assessment Journaling Activity is here!
This July, the foundation’s bright and capable fellows reflected on their growth, challenges, and dreams — and today, we are proud to share the heartfelt stories of Dakshi (Miranda House, Delhi) and Saniya Gauri (Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi).
Dakshi’s journey reflects grace through patience — learning to respond with calm, finding strength in faith, and embracing peace through meditation, yoga, and the arts. Her story reminds us that growth often blooms in moments of stillness and self-belief.
Saniya’s reflection, on the other hand, shines with courage and transformation. From a shy student to a confident leader, she discovered that true leadership is built on consistency, kindness, and responsibility. Her story embodies the power of mentorship, gratitude, and stepping beyond comfort zones.
Together, their journeys remind us that personal progress is not just about achievements — it’s about becoming more grounded, compassionate, and resilient with every experience. 🌿✨

Presenting Part Four of the responses from Princeton Foundation's "Mid-Year Self-Assessment Journaling Activity," organized this July, for the bright and capable girls of the foundation.

Today, we are proud to share the stories of another two brilliant young women: Maria Teresa Gerorge (Miranda House, University of Delhi), and Pallavi Nalla (Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Basar).

Both of their journeys highlight overcoming harsh obstacles in life. Whether they be through looking ahead of the haunting memories of the past, or by confronting external challenges in the present, both of their goals remain fixated on a brighter, more confident, and fulfilling future. Which is focused on self-growth and self-actualisaton, rather than societal acceptance.

Their resilience and optimism amidst whirling challenges teaches us a great lesson: Rising victorious is not about getting to the top in one try; it is about falling a hundred times and getting up a hundred and one times.
