If you plan to paddle, you can volunteer at your launch site before you launch.
Volunteer opportunities:
- Friday, August 14 Packet Pickup - 4-7 p.m.
- Saturday, August 15 Event - Shifts running at different site locations from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Stop by the office to pick up a FLOATZILLA yard sign or flyers

If you or your kiddo has an electric scooter, BE IN THE KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!
An electric scooter with a motor exceeding 750 watts may be subject to the same laws that apply to motor vehicles in Iowa. Operating a high-powered electric scooter can result in citations such as:
- Operating an unregistered motor vehicle
- Driving without a valid driver’s license
- Operating without required financial responsibilities (insurance)
PARENTS: If your child is involved in an accident while riding a high-powered electric scooter, they could get seriously hurt, the incident may affect them from getting a driver’s license in the future or even lead to higher insurance rates.
Public safety is one of the City of Bettendorf’s highest priorities, so share this message and let’s work together to keep everyone in our community safe and able to enjoy our trails and sidewalks together.
