🚗 URGENT: Help Someone Get Back on the Road to Independence

Right now, someone in our program has the opportunity to rebuild their life—but there’s one thing standing in the way:

Transportation.

Without a car, getting to work, caring for their family, and staying on a path toward stability becomes nearly impossible.

At Hope Connection, we don’t just offer financial help—we walk alongside individuals as they rebuild their lives. We provide housing support, counseling, job assistance, and mentorship. But none of it works without reliable transportation.

We have already identified a safe, dependable vehicle—inspected and approved by our mechanic.

We just need to raise the funds quickly before this opportunity is gone.

If we raise more, we can secure an additional vehicle and help even more people—or provide Uber and Lyft rides so others can get to work.

Hope Connection is participating in an online auction fundraiser. PLEASE FUND OUR CAUSE!
We lost our facilities due to our leased building being deemed unsafe, and no compensation has been received, at this point. We are operating from a temporary location for now, but need to relocate our Community Care Center as soon as possible so that we can keep this ministry fully functional and continue to provide for needs for survivors of abuse and addiction. We have an opportunity to place a unit on property at our temporary location that could become permanent for only $75K. This auction will help give us a boost to move forward with our goals.

We need 10 items donated for an online auction with Bid for Better. We get 100% of the proceeds from our items. This is a service provided for nonprofits by TheVolunteerCenter.org. We are limited to 10 items, so we need things that people will really want to bid on. I will let you know when we get 10 items.

The item(s) or bundle of items has to be at least a minimum $100 value. Bids will increase by $10 increments.
IDEAS: Trips, beach or mountain get-aways, lessons (cooking, dance, golf, etc), tickets, gift certificates, massages, discounted or free services offered, paint parties, product gifts, experience events (farm, chef cooking for a group, etc.), collectible items, and more.

Please submit your item to us with the following:
-Name of Item
-Short description of the item (25 word max)
-2 photos of item or service
-Value of item
-Starting Bid
-How will item be provided (local delivery, electronic, estimated shipping cost, if applicable)
-Limits or exclusions, timing or coordination, or any other special instructions / how the winner will be contacted
*We can provide tax receipts for these in-kind donations, upon request.*

**DEADLINE** to confirm items with Hope Connection is May 12, Tuesday.
That gives us time to organize and send the information to Bid for Better by our deadline.

The online auction will be held from May 22nd - June 8th.
Checks will be mailed out to nonprofits June 24th.

Our auction items will be posted along with items from other non-profits, so we want to make them as appealing as possible.

A Life Saved (Letter from a Survivor)

I hope you can secure the funds to continue to do what you do. You are a vital part of saving lives by doing the programs you offer and helping people in need. I am again so lucky to have found your organization through the Google search I did. Y'all were instrumental in saving me in crisis when I met you. The amount of love and compassion, support, and flat out rescuing I received from both of you literally saved my life. I had nothing but a car full of whatever belongings I could fit into it. I would have been forced to sleep in my car in some shady parking lot if not for you on the day I met you. You probably don't know this, but you were instrumental in saving me from my abuser. If not for you, in the situation I was in, I more than likely would have run back to that position just to repeat the cycle of abuse. I want you to know if it were not for you and Ben, I could be dead right now. I truly believe everything happens for a reason. It was no mistake I found you two. The gifts from God are priceless, and He put me on the path for you to come into my life. I didn't know you long, and that's the biggest regret I have. If I was able to have found a job and housing, I would have absolutely stayed and even continued to volunteer. The work you do is God's work, and please never forget that. You both are truly one of a kind, one in a million, and I will never forget the impact you made in my life even in our short time together. I know I have expressed some of this to you in the past, but I want to keep expressing it so you know how truly grateful I am. I know how hard you worked on DejaVu, and I'm sorry it ended so badly. I truly hope you are able to find donors and get the funding you need to keep going. There isn't a price you can put on saving a life, and I truly hope you can get up and running again. I miss you two more than you know. I will forever be grateful. Know that I am also praying for y'all. I'm so sorry but I can't afford to donate in this moment. I have a lot of issues right now with my car and have been putting money into it. Sometime in the near future I am going to probably have to say goodbye to it. I wish I could donate more. I will continue to make my small contribution as soon as I can, even though it's not much. I know every little bit helps. I hope y'all are healthy and happy outside of Hope Connection. You two look so good in the photo. Okay, I've rambled long enough and probably will ramble something similar in the future. I just really feel the need to keep reminding you of the positive impact of what you do has on people. I miss y'all, and hopefully I will get back to NC and come see y'all again.

-Need 2 used cars for 2 of our women whose cars are not fixable (we give tax receipts)
