Hey all! Apologies for the influx of recent posts--our current officers just got access to our Facebook and Instagram, and can't wait to share all of the work we do with you all! Stay tuned for the 2026-2027 AY!

One of our most exciting upcoming projects is the Peregrine Falcon Project (https://conserve.princeton.edu/pcs-peregrine-falcon-project/), which aims to put a Peregrine Falcon nest box on top of the new Briger Hall! Read more on our website conserve.princeton.edu!

Some of our students are also leading independent projects through the club, such as children's environmental storytelling!

With the first week of post-fall break over, PCS wants to highlight our fall break at the TNC Davis Mountains Preserve in Texas. We had an amazing time volunteering throughout the week. We engaged in trail maintenance, erosion control, gave a presentation + led an interpretive hike about the preserve to visitors, and more. We are very thankful to our sponsors: Princeton’s Office of the Vice President for Campus Life, the Center for Human Values, the Geosciences Department, HMEI, and ODUS.

PCS went tree planting at the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve on Saturday Sep. 27. and we volunteered with the Friends of Princeton Open Space. New Jersey is about one-third developed and one-third protected, leaving the fate of about one-third of the state’s land currently unprotected. Princeton Conservation Society welcomes all to the panel on 4/29 to learn more about wildlife conservation in action and how to incorporate methods of conservation-driven intentionality into your career. With speakers in academia, award-winning filmmaking, and state-level politics, we will hear about their experiences in conservation science and advocacy. We can’t wait to see you all there!

Join us for a screening of HASIK (2024), Sunday, November 24 at 4 p.m. in Taylor Auditorium (Frick B02). 🌱

This feature-length documentary film was directed, produced, and edited by recent graduates Marissa Mejia '23 and Mandy Qua '23 through a Princeton fellowship program. Sharing the stories of seed savers from across three regions of the Philippines, this film focuses on the seed-saving efforts by organic, and often indigenous, farmers that are planting heirloom seeds for cultural and environmental preservation.

This event is free and unticketed! If you are unable to join on Sunday, HASIK is also streaming on YouTube.

This Saturday, PCS toured the Mullica River Watershed with Jason Howell from to learn about the initiative to designate it as a National Wild and Scenic River. We also had a chance to chat about the ongoing restoration efforts, fire ecology, and some of the species that call the Pinelands home, including the endangered Timber Rattlesnake! Thank you to the PPA and everyone who attended!! 🌲🍁
