June 18 will be a powerful day across our community — a day to advocate, connect, and celebrate.

First, we encourage you to join advocates from across New Jersey for Legislative Day in Trenton, where community members will meet with lawmakers to support policies that advance affordable housing and housing stability for all.

Learn more and register here: https://www.hcdnnj.org/legislativeday

Then, stay in Trenton for the city’s Juneteenth Celebration at Mill Hill Park from 3–8 PM featuring live entertainment, music, dance, games, and local vendors.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates Black freedom, resilience, culture, and achievement. It is both a celebration and a reminder of the ongoing work toward equity and justice in our communities.

We hope you will join us for a meaningful day of advocacy, community, and celebration.

We’re incredibly grateful to share that Housing Initiatives of Princeton has received a second consecutive grant from the https://www.northfieldbankfoundation.org to help sustain and expand our transitional housing program for families facing homelessness and housing insecurity in Mercer County.

At HIP, families can stay in safe, stable housing for up to two years while working toward permanent affordable housing with the support of weekly case management and personalized wraparound services. We’re proud that every family who completes our program graduates into stable, affordable housing of their own.

This support will help us continue serving more than 30 adults and children annually through transitional housing, while also strengthening our eviction prevention efforts that help hundreds more remain safely housed each year.

Thank you to the https://www.northfieldbankfoundation.org for believing in our mission and in the resilience of the families we serve.

HIP's transitional housing program has a 100 percent graduation rate into permanent affordable housing, officials say.

Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the strength, love, and resilience of mothers everywhere.

At Housing Initiatives of Princeton (HIP), we are continually inspired by the mothers in our program-women who are working tirelessly to create stable, nurturing homes for their children, often in the face of incredible challenges.

Today, we honor their determination, their courage, and the countless ways they show up for their families every single day.

Because every mother deserves the peace of knowing her family is safe, secure, and at home.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at HIP.
