How did we choose “Aplastic Anemia” as our rare disease? In

2009 former Princeton Football captain and ivy-league leading rusher (2008) Jordan Culbreath was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, a rare blood disorder in which the body's bone marrow doesn't make enough new blood cells. We were inspired to start our chapter of Uplifting Athletes after watching Jordan’s heroic comeback from a life-threatening rare disease to playing football again within the period of a year.
