Kaylee is a bright spot in our volunteer family. When she is not studying and is back home on breaks you give your time. We are thankful for your willingness to jump in and cook, help serve our teens food, and jump in to volunteer in other areas needed. Lets thank Kaylee for giving up her time over her breaks to volunteer. Thank you Kaylee!!

"My name is Kaylee Dowda, I’m 21 and currently a college student at Olivet, but no matter where I go, Second Story has always been like a second home. I’ve been coming to the Teen Center since highschool, and it’s truly been a place where I’ve grown and felt supported. Now, as a volunteer, I love giving back during school breaks! I usually help in the kitchen cooking, serving meals, and pitching in wherever I’m needed. It feels meaningful to help create the same welcoming space that meant so much to me growing up. Second Story continues to be an incredible part of our community, giving teens safe, positive place to connect, feel cared for, and build confidence, and I’m grateful to be even a small part of that."

Lets show Shannon how much we appreciate her and all she does for Second Story. Transportation is a huge benefit we get to offer our teens. Because of Shannon and other drivers willing to drive we are able to provide a safe trip to the teen center and back home for the teens. She also helps supervise nights we need volunteers. Thank you Shannon for all you give and do for Second Story Teen Center!!!

"I drive the bus for Second Story taking kids home and help supervise at the building and outings and help with anything they might need help. Second Story means alot to me and my family! They give them a safe place to go where they arent judged for their background, race, or sexuality. They offer tutoring for kids, an ear if they need someone to talk too, and different activities to teach them things they can use in every day life. They help kids break out of their shells by having so many different kids come together. My son used to have horrible social anxiety, then he started going to Second Story and made friends and actually wants to go school activities and other activities in town, and is even willing to try new things. I love seeing the positive changes that the teen center brings to teens in our area!" -Shannon Cooper

Thank you Marilyn for all you do for our pantry! You help keep our free pantry organized, stocked, and looking amazing. You are the kindest person. Please show Marilyn how thankful we are for her hard work in the pantry.

"My name is Marilyn Clayton. I retired in 2011 from the business office at Perry Memorial Hospital. In my spare time I enjoy working in my flower gardens and spending time with my family. I am a volunteer at Second Story. I work with the clothing and supplies in the pantry. I really enjoy volunteering at Second Story. It is a wonderful facility and they provide so much for the kids in our community. The kids are provided with a safe place to go with several activities, food, clothing, and school supplies.
