With 1 June and its deadlines fir proposals for sessions for the 2027 iCMS, we report plans for next year.

For reasons we do not understand, they do not include any with the Societas Magica. The 2026 ICMS, with 2 sessions co-sponsored by the RGME and the Societas, marked the successful completion of 22 consecutive years of co-sponsorship between our organizations at the ICMS. Our celebrations of this collaboration are earnest, with thanks to all involved, as we recognize the unrequited end of an era.

We apologize. The RGME official website has been offline since Thursday at about 5:40 pm EDT. Repeated efforts, taking about 7 unpaid hours altogether by our Director, to find remedy with our website manager BlueHost have failed, with a succession of failures. Not only have they revealed that the problems are even greater (it would appear at their end), but also the tech specialists with the necessary access to the site have bailed out by saying that they call back (within 1 to 2 hours or very soon, neither happening). Trying again only received disconnects (three times).

We are trying to find the support and remedy that are paid for and promised. It is not for lack of our trying that our site is not working. We worry about what other failures have arisen (see above) because or alongside the online access. We enter a holiday weekend wondering when our website might communicate with our community again, and, alas, what might have been lost because of larger issues with the website management which, after careful consideration and consultation, we chose a couple of years ago.

We hope for remedy. Watch this space! We live in hope, wondering what might fix this lifeline.
