We’re speechless after yesterday’s incredible day with Munich Reinsurance America! 🩵🌟🎒

Our biggest Bag Project volunteer day yet brought together around 100 volunteers from our longtime partners at Munich Re, US to assemble just over 100 Welcome Bags for toddlers and children ages 4–8 entering foster care in New Jersey!

The day was made even more special by Amanah Qureshi, who shared her personal journey through foster care and how embrella helped shape her future.

Through embrella’s Homestretch Scholarship, supported in part by Munich Re, Amanah was able to earn her master’s degree in social work. Hearing her story and having her thank the very people who help make opportunities like this possible was such a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

To everyone at Munich Re, thank you for your continued partnership, generosity, and commitment to children and youth experiencing foster care.

Yesterday was a beautiful reminder of what we can accomplish together, and we couldn’t be more grateful! 🫶🏾

For young people experiencing foster care, having someone they can turn to for advice, support, and understanding can mean everything.

Meet Victoria, a New Jersey youth in embrella’s Pathways to Academic and Career Exploration to Success (PACES) program.

She shares her experience working with her PACES Coach, Kylie, and why having someone she can count on for advice and support means so much as she works toward her goals and plans for the future.

Remember those donations you helped us collect? 🩵

They’re now on their way to Cumberland West CP&P Local Office, where workers will distribute them to children and youth entering foster care in Cumberland County, New Jersey.

The office picked up 220 Welcome and Back-to-School Bags from us — so many that it took two trips! Each bag is filled with comfort items and essentials to help children and youth feel a little more comfortable during a time of transition.

embrella was honored to attend the Book and Needle Woman's Club of Oradell NJ luncheon at Domani’s in Hillsdale! 🩵

We’re incredibly grateful to have been selected as the NJ State Federation of Women's Clubs of GFWC State Special Project for 2026–2028. We look forward to a meaningful two-year partnership and all that we can accomplish together in support of children, youth, and families across New Jersey.

Our Director of Community Engagement, Michele Rodriguez, also had the opportunity to share more about embrella’s work to embrace, support, and advocate for families across the state.

It was wonderful to spend the afternoon with such incredible women who truly are a “Force for Good.” We were also happy to be joined by the NJSFWC President and Director of Communications. Thank you for welcoming us!
