HiTOPS Princeton Half Marathon

10/12/2026

"The HiTOPS Princeton Half Marathon will be my 50th state half marathon! I have also completed D.C. and 4 more halfs, so the total halfs will be 55. (I also completed one full marathon, the La. Marathon). When I turned 70 years old this year, I thought it's time to complete this 50 states quest. I started counting the races after my 5th one in Louisiana, where I lived most of my life, though I retired and moved to Colorado 8 years ago. It officially began March 8, 2015 with the Zydeco Half Marathon in Lafayette, La--and yay, I placed in my age group! I only have your state and DL to run, and I am planning to bag DL ( #49) two weeks before NJ. My adult twin children will be coming to run with me at Princeton, and I have made us a team: "Mom's 50th State Half Marathon Team". They are both runners and one competes in triathlons. I guess all those years of pushing them in a racing stroller rubbed off!" - Ann Wise

‼️ IMPORTANT REGISTRATION WARNING ‼️

We have learned that individuals were using the “Find a Participant” page on our registration platform to impersonate registered runners and offer to sell their registrations. It has since been disabled.

We will NOT transfer a registration unless the request comes directly from the email address associated with the original registration.

Please do not send money to anyone promising you a spot that you do not know personally.

Unfortunately, being sold out has created an opportunity for scammers. Please be careful.

October 30, 1938. A cylinder dropped out of the sky into Grovers Mill, New Jersey, just a few miles down the road from Princeton. Orson Welles told a panicked nation the Martians had landed, heat-rays were sweeping the countryside, and the only sane response was to get moving.

Most of Princeton ran scared that night.

In 1938, they said run because they thought it was the end of the world.

In 2026, we say run because it's the best 13.1 miles in Jersey.

The truth is out there. So is your PR. 👽

💍 From course marshal to co-runner… to newlyweds!

We are SO excited to share that Paul Hahofer and Tannia Jaramillo just got married and the HiTOPS Princeton Half Marathon played a small but mighty role in bringing them together. 🏃‍♂️❤️🏃‍♀️

It all started in 2022, when Tannia was volunteering as a course marshal and Paul showed up to cheer on a friend. Fate had other plans. What followed was a love story measured in miles.

This past weekend, they made it official and we couldn't be more thrilled!

Paul will be running his 5th HiTOPS Princeton Half this fall, and Tannia her 3rd. Their first as husband and wife. We cannot wait to welcome the newlyweds back on course. 🎉

Congratulations, Paul & Tannia! 🎊
