Come see what's POPPIN' at the Kickoff Federation Meeting!

We’re excited to invite 4-H youth ages 13-18 to Federation! Learn the ins and outs from our officers about Federation and what we do! We would love to have at least one representative from each club!

Enjoy an afternoon of apple cider, popcorn charcuterie board, leadership activity and planning for an exciting year ahead!

Calling all 4-H youth! Join us on April 16 at 6:30 p.m. for an informative session about preparing for the Bureau County 4-H Dog Show! Kat, from Kat the dog behaviorist, will be leading the lessons, offering valuable insights into dog training.

This is a great opportunity for 4-H families to meet Kat and learn about the upcoming training sessions. Kat will provide an overview of the skills and techniques needed to help your dog succeed in the show, including obedience, handling, and behavioral tips.

Whether you're new to dog shows or a returning participant, this session will help you and your dog prepare for success!

Bureau County 4-H youth participated in the Illinois 4-H Horse Judging Contest on February 2 at Black Hawk College East. Youth judged six classes of horses, at least two being halter classes.

Quincy Hochstatter placed 7th in the individual non-reasons division and the Bureau County 4-H team placed 6th in the non-reasons division.

Lydia Hardy of Bureau County 4-H has been selected for the 2025 Illinois 4-H Youth Leadership Team. Over the next two years, Lydia will be representing her club (Bureau County Open Door 4-H Club), Bureau County 4-H Federation, Bureau County, and Illinois 4-H.

The Illinois State 4-H Youth Leadership Team offers 4-H members opportunities to give back to the 4-H program while enhancing their leadership skills. Youth will be planning, implementing, and evaluating various 4-H activities and events! Congratulations Lydia!
