𝘈𝘏𝘐𝘓𝘠𝘈𝘕𝘈𝘎𝘈𝘙 — In what is being hailed as a landmark victory for public health in education, the GlobalNagari Foundation (GNF) is nearing the finish line of its "2025–26 RO Installation Project." This massive undertaking has successfully secured safe, purified drinking water for 14,000 students and teachers, a feat made possible by a wave of extraordinary generosity from the GNF donor community.
Beyond a Donation: A Feat of Engineering
For the GNF team, this wasn’t just about writing a check; it was about solving a puzzle. Avinash Mehetre, GNF Board Member, described the initiative as the foundation's most "challenging drive" yet. While past efforts like providing cycles and books were straightforward, the RO project required the team to overcome a relentless series of technical hurdles.
From the U.S. to Ahilyanagar, the team managed a logistical maze. When massive round tanks wouldn't fit through century-old school doorways, they were swapped for custom rectangular units. When water wouldn't lift or local plumbers were nowhere to be found, the team worked around the clock to find a way.
The 850 TDS Challenge
The most critical breakthrough was invisible to the naked eye. In many schools, the water supply registered a TDS level of 850+ —harsh, heavy water that posed long-term health risks. Through the precision of GNF’s RO systems, those levels have plummeted to a crisp 150 range, ensuring that every sip taken by a student today is a step toward a healthier tomorrow.
The Power of the GNF Donor
While the technical work was grueling, the heartbeat of the project remained the ̲𝙶̲̲𝚕̲̲𝚘̲̲𝚋̲̲𝚊̲̲𝚕̲̲𝙽̲̲𝚊̲̲𝚐̲̲𝚊̲̲𝚛̲̲𝚒̲ ̲𝙵̲̲𝚘̲̲𝚞̲̲𝚗̲̲𝚍̲̲𝚊̲̲𝚝̲̲𝚒̲̲𝚘̲̲𝚗̲ ̲𝙳̲̲𝚘̲̲𝚗̲̲𝚘̲̲𝚛̲̲𝚜̲.
"Your generosity is the backbone of every initiative we undertake," Mr. Avinash Mehetre stated. "None of this would be possible without you. You provided the resources that allowed us to tackle every school-specific hurdle, from the tanks to the taps."
This "new feather" in the GNF cap is shared by a dedicated leadership team—including 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘣𝘩𝘢 𝘵𝘢𝘪, 𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘢 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦 𝘈𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘢𝘪, 𝘚𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘬𝘢 𝘑𝘢𝘨𝘥𝘢𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘪, 𝘙𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘩 𝘛𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘕𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘩 𝘋𝘢𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘠𝘶𝘷𝘳𝘢𝘫 𝘑𝘢𝘥𝘩𝘢𝘷—and every single person who contributed to the fundraising mission.
A Legacy in Every Drop
As the final installations are completed, the 2025-26 project stands as a testament to the fact that when a community of donors stands behind a vision, no entrance is too narrow and no water is too hard to fix.
For 14,000 people in Ahilyanagar, the sound of a running RO tap is now the sound of a brighter, healthier future.
