Princeton USG Campus Community Challenge

Princeton USG Campus Community Challenge What is 3C?

3C is a campus-wide community service initiative dedicated to promoting a culture of service on campus.

We believe every student should burst that Orange Bubble and incorporate community service into the activities they love. If you’re in a dance, a ca****la, or theater group, put on a show at a local nursing home or hospital. If you write for a publication, write a letter to a soldier overseas. If you’re in the Knitting Club, knit scarves or gloves for the underprivileged. Community service shouldn’t be a chore—it should be a way of life.

Voices of Change is a social action journalism organization that profiles interesting and inspiring people and shares their stories through print or radio journalism in order to illuminate the themes and ideas that their lives represent. The purpose of the journalism is to inspire, empower, and educate, and it can all be found online at voicesofchange.weebly.com. Our profiles range from an Olympic gold medalist to a Pulitzer Prize winning poet.

Whether you are interested in being a journalist, web developer, editor, publicity team member, fundraiser, committee member, working for our national staff or doing something totally different, there is a role for you in this organization. And no experience/ application is required!

They’re having three info sessions just to make sure everybody interested is able to attend one, but each session will be the same so you only need to attend one.

The times and places for them are as follows.

Tuesday December 13th 8pm- 9pm Frist 307

Wednesday Decemeber 14th- 8pm – 9pm Frist Class of 1952 Room on a Level

On Friday, December 9th, stop by Palmer Square to see the Holiday A Ca****la Jam and Toy Drive from 6:30 to 8:30! Bring a new unwrapped toy to be donated to the YWCA St. Nicholas project and listen to holiday themed a capella performances by our very own. Again, while this event is not eligible for service hours, it's a great cause and a fun way to get into the holiday spirit :)

Hey guys,

So December is upon us, and with it comes two great things: Frost Fest and Formals. At both of these fun events, try and keep service in mind. We'll have a table out at Frost Fest, and at Formals, think about donating a canned food item or cold weather article of clothing in the donation bins in Wilcox Hall.

Check out the weekly service initiatives at SVC, the Pace Center, and Community House for ideas about how to get engaged this week!

Have a great week, stay engaged, and don't forget to log those hours!
