Great job to these 3 brothers. Way to represent Princeton!

This week firefighters Steffen Marroquin and Patrick Blackert completed the RIT technician class. After finishing 50 grueling hours of advanced skills and training under challenging live fire conditions, they will be more prepared in the event of a mayday scenario.

Deputy Chief Brian Carrington simultaneously completed the RIT Chief class. This 50 hour class ran in conjunction with the technician class and provided high level training for Deputy Chief Carrington to prepare him for the highly stressful, worst case scenario.

This morning, a few of our AFFI Honor Guard members took part in casket guard training. We take great pride it doing whatever it takes to honor a fallen brother or sister. Your Princeton Firefighters have 5 members who serve on the AFFI Honor Guard. They attend any Line of Duty Death firefighter funeral across the state of IL.

And a huge thank you to Grant-Johnson Funeral Homes & Crematory for allowing us to train at their facility.

This weekend, members attended the 2025 AFFI Honor Guard Convention in Peoria. Convention is always a great weekend to train with our brothers and sisters throughout the state and to memorialize those that we’ve lost throughout the year.
