I’m grateful to share that this morning I was elected by the presidents and vice presidents of all 21 New Jersey county school boards to represent them as their delegate to the New Jersey School Boards Association 's Board of Directors.

This role is about listening first, being guided by strong policy, and working transparently on behalf of our communities. I am honored by the trust placed in me and committed to serving with integrity, always keeping the students of New Jersey at the center of every decision.

At this morning’s CAL meeting, members voted to approve Jennifer Knittel as County Association Leadership Board of Directors Delegate. Congratulations, Jennifer, and thank you to CAL Board of Directors Alternate Julie Kozempel for your continued commitment to the County SBA. We look forward to both of you representing the County Association Leadership with professionalism and dedication on the Board of Directors. We truly appreciate your leadership and service!

Dear Warren County Board of Education Members, Superintendents, and Business Administrators,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of our colleague and friend, Scott Nodes, who passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Scott E Nodes

Scott was a pillar of the Greenwich Township and Warren County educational communities. His commitment to public service was vast, spanning 12 years on the Greenwich Township Board of Education, serving as an alternate on the NJSBA Board of Directors for six years, and most recently representing Warren County as our delegate.

Beyond his work in education, Scott was a retired Warden of the Hunterdon County Jail with 23 years of service, a dedicated youth coach, and a man of great faith. His presence, leadership, and passion for giving back to the youth in our community will be profoundly missed.

Celebration of Life Details
A service to celebrate Scott’s life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Time: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (A luncheon will follow the services)
Location: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 9 Red School House Rd, Lebanon, NJ 08833

Warren County School Boards Association held its annual Celebrations meeting on Thursday 5/1, recognizing teacher of the year, board member milestones, and electing new officers.
It has been a pleasure serving as 1st VP for four years & now I look forward to this term as 2nd VP for legislation.
