Rules
Shoots
14 regular qualifying shoots
Practice shooting from 9:00am to 10:00am
Shoots begin at 10:00am
No sign up after 1:00pm
Shoots to be conducted by ATA rules
Jackpot shoot to be held the Sunday following the final (14th) regular shoot
Yardage
Shooters to start 2 yards less than their ATA yardage OR
their 2024-2025 Winter League Trapshoot yardage
whichever is higher OR known ability, to be judged by Winter League Committee
Optional to take reduction
Shooter ending 2024-2025 Winter League Trapshoot yardage OVER 28 yards to start at 27 yards
19-yard minimum OR
Known ability, per ATA rules
Reductions given the first 2 weeks ONLY.
Shooter must have made 8 shoots in the previous year to earn the reduction the 1st or 2nd week
Winner of last year’s Jackpot Shoot to start without a reduction
All yardages are subject to review by Winter League Committee
Earned Yardage
Weekly winner earns 2 yards for first win OR
1 yard thereafter
Runner-up earns ½ yard
25 Straight Handicap shooter earns 1 ADDITIONAL yard
50 Straight shooter earns 1 ADDITIONAL yard
50 Straight shooter earns both 25 Straight Handicap AND 50 Straight yardages for an additional 2 yards plus any weekly winner yardage
Lewis
Shooter pays $5.00 weekly to participate
Split per the Lewis Class System
Two classes 50%
60%/40% split for top score and runner up
In the event of tie scores, the Lewis will be split
Purse
Shooter pays $5.00 weekly to participate
Top 2 scores each week
60%/40% split for top score and runner up
In the event of tie scores, the Purse will be split
25 Straight Handicap
Shooter must pay $1.00 weekly entry fee to participate that week
Shooter to receive 50% of current to date money in 25 Straight Handicap account
OR Shooter to receive 25% of current to day money in 25 Straight Handicap account IF HAS NOT PLAYED FOR LESS THAN 8 WEEKS
Shooter earns 1 ADDITIONAL yard
In the event of more than one 25 straight handicap shooter in a week, the 50% of the account balance will be split between those shooters
Qualification: must shoot 8 shoots prior to that day
25 Straight Handicap to be capped at $500.00
Balance over $500.00 goes into the Jackpot funds
25 Straight Handicap will re-build after a winner
Must have played “25 Straight Handicap” ($1.00/week) 8 weeks previously in order to qualify for win. See above.
Last season may count but not prior to last season
50 Straight
Shooter must pay $1.00 weekly entry fee to participate that week
Shooter to receive 50% of current to date money in 50 Straight account OR Shooter to receive 25% of current to day money in 25 Straight Handicap account IF HAS NOT PLAYED FOR LESS THAN 8 WEEK
Shooter earns 2 ADDITIONAL yards (One yard for the 50 Straight, 1 yard for the 25 Straight)
In the event of more than one 50 Straight shooter in a week, the 50% of the account balance will be split between those shooters
In order to play the 50 Straight you MUST play the 25 Straight Handicap
50 Straight to be capped at $1,000.00

High-Over All
Top 11 scores out of 14 weeks to qualify for High-Over All

Jackpot Shoot
Must shoot 11 shoots to qualify
May use a make-up score(s)
May only make up 3 of the 11 shoots
Pays $4.00 per week when attending
Must pay $5.00 for each shoot missed
Pays for all 14 weeks
*** Non-League shooter can ONLY qualify for Purse and/or Lewis ***
Paid by Lewis Class System
Classes: 40-30-20-10 Lucky Draw
In the event of ties, money to be split
Shoot 100 targets: 50 Singles, 50 Handicap
Shooting to begin at 9:00AM
Calcutta
Must participate in at least 8 regular league shoots this season to be eligible
Must be 18 and/or over to participate (Buyer and/or Shooter)
$5.00 entry fee
$5.00 first bid
Paid in 4 places: 40-30-20-10
Buyer-shooter: 60%-40%
Make-Up Shoots
Do NOT qualify for 25 Straight Handicap or 50 Straight monies
Do NOT count toward High Over-All score
Can be used toward Jackpot and Calcutta
Make-up shooters can fill-in on regular squads with squad members permission
Can only make up 1 Make-Up Shoot per week
Must be made up the following week that you return
Squadding
No reserved squadding unless “reserved” squad positions are paid for upfront by another “Team/Squad” member on that day.
Refunds
No refunds are given once shooting has begun for that day (10:00AM)
Youth League
Youth 16 and under, 7 and up
Must have parent or guardian present
Parent/guardian must sign Release of Liability
Must have Hunter Safety Course OR be 4H Member
May participate with regular squads
Need to have 3 Youth Shooters
Fee: $5.00 for 50 Targets
Not eligible for Jackpot or Calcutta
If Youth Shooter wants to play Optionals, must pay full fees
Youth shooter paying “Full Fees” qualifies as an adult shooter and may participate in the Jackpot ONLY (along with the Lewis, Purse, 25 Straight Handicap, 50 Straight) but may NOT participate in the Calcutta
Rifle Range
Rifle Range to be closed during Winter League Shoots; that is, from 10:00AM until last registered shooter done
