🔥If you miss the Hawks For Football 1st Annual Golf Charity Classic check out some of the highlight pictures below. 🔥Join “Hawks for Football (HFF)” University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) and Forest Park Golf Course for the 1st Annual Hawks for Football Golf Classic to raise funds that directly support our local community benefiting The Forest Park Junior Golf Program and UMES/HFF Junior Sports and Career Pipeline Programs.

⏰️Please join us on Monday, August 8, 2022, for a fun day of golf, prizes, and raffles at our 1st Annual Charity Golf Classic. This tournament features 18 holes Shotgun Start, a Newbie Clinic, play, good food, a silent auction, and a full day of relaxed fun! Foursomes are $280 ($75 per golfer) and provide golf, food, drinks, and more.

❤️The 2022 Hawks for Football Golf Classic registration window is now open until Friday, July 29, 2022. We are excited to host our 1st Annual Golf Classic and hope you will join us as a sponsor and/or golfer! As we get back to normal, we are excited to have a goal of raising over $150,000 for our beneficiaries!

📺In addition, sponsorships are still available! Promote your business, family, club, team, or yourself with signage throughout the event and course! Each registrant gets an awesome swag bag and a player appreciation lunch.

💣Five players on the two Super Bowl III teams came from the same school, and that school was Maryland State College, which we now know as the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Yup, the school in little Princess Anne.

⭐️Nominees for Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame class include these Augusta-area stars.

🔥Emerson Boozer
Laney alumnus Emerson Boozer was named as an early nominee for the inaugural class of the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame. Here he is playing with the New York Jets in 1973.
High school: Laney (class of 1962)

❤️Boozer graduated from Laney and attended University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where he was a two-time All-American before the New York Jets drafted him in the seventh round of the 1966 AFL Draft. He played 10 seasons in the AFL and NFL and was a key cog in the Jets' Super Bowl III win over the Baltimore Colts. Boozer is a member of the Jets' Ring of Honor and the College Football Hall of Fame.
