During the last ten nights of this Holy Month of Ramadan, the Acting State’s Attorney Tara Jackson co-hosted an Iftar for the Muslim community with PGCMC. They were also joined by Clerk of the Court Mahasin El Amin, Laurel City Council Member Martin Mitchell, now running for County council and former Board of Ed Member Raaheela Ahmed who is running for State Senate.

PGCMC joined CAIR-MD, UMMC and Muslims groups from around the state at the Annual Muslim Lobby Day in Annapolis. Priority bills included a resolution against genocide in Gaza, Sudan and the Congo, an anti-doxxing bill for students, and a prohibition against local Maryland law enforcement agencies entering into agreements with ICE.  The evening also featured an announcement on the House floor about the formation of the first Muslim Caucus.
