Calvert Mentors It is our priority to ensure the safety of our children. The Partnership promotes mentoring in all its forms.

Therefore, all mentors recruited through this initiative receive a complete background check, are thoroughly screened, and training on mentoring best practices. The Calvert County Mentoring Partnerships was formed in 2005 and is made up of 24 government and non-profit agencies. It expands the vital role that businesses, congregations, families, neighborhoods, schools and youth organizations play i

n the healthy development of Calvert County’s youth. Quality mentoring has proven to be a critical youth development strategy and stakeholders in the private sector, educational fields, government, juvenile justice system and youth development recognize the need to integrate mentoring as a component to youth and workforce development. It is essential that all Calvert County citizens learn about the importance of mentoring and the impact that corporate and citizen participation can have on helping young people of all circumstances achieve their potential

Our return comes with a renewed vision, new goals, and exciting updates designed to create a more meaningful experience for both mentors and mentees. The East John Youth Center in Lusby MD needs volunteers for an outdoor project. The outside upstairs entrance steps, facing the pool and entrance, leading to the pavilion need to be stained. A temporary, inexpensive sidewalk needs to be put in place that would extend from the existing front entrance...
