It’s almost Toys for Tots time in Calvert County! 🎄🧸

We’ve been busy planning, and there will be a couple of changes this year. We are streamlining our registration process, which includes a shorter schedule. If you’re a Calvert County parent, you will still have the opportunity to register your children. We hope the shorter schedule will also help reduce no-shows on toy distribution day.

Family registration will open October 24, 2026, and close November 22, 2026. We look forward to another season of bringing joy to local children! ❤️

Reading Buddies is a great program for emerging readers at the elementary level. Young readers read out loud to teen volunteers and also do fun activities. Reading out loud is beneficial for everyone. It builds vocabulary, improves listening skills and models fluent reading! Teen volunteers earn 1 hour of community service as well!

Each Calvert Library Branch has this program. Find out when, where and register at:

For teen volunteers please sign up at: https://calvertlibrary.libnet.info/events?a=Teen&n=3&term=Reading+Buddies+&r=months
