Houses Of Hope Africa

Houses of Hope Africa exist to care for the whole orphaned children in Southern Africa.

Houses of Hope currently has three orphan homes in Southern Africa (Temba, South Africa, Mamelodi, South Africa, and Whunga, Zimbabwe.)

At our orphan homes, we believe that proper care for our children includes spiritual nourishment. Both of our orphan homes are linked closely with the local church bodies, where children come to meet God and learn more about following him. We encourage our kids to pursue personal relationships with Jesus Christ, and lead others into the faith.

Édson, a high schooler at our home in Moçambique, has an incredible heart for the Lord and His people in Ngholoza. Édson frequently can be found in prayer, reading the Bible, and sharing God’s love with others. In the second photo, you can see him leading his brothers and sisters in a devotional at our home.

Édson is an incredible example of Paul’s exhortation: “and what you have heard to me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2

This past year has brought many visitors to our orphan homss! Pictured above are just a few glimpses into their visits. These volunteers came from anywhere from a week’s span to over 6 months to invest in our children at Houses of Hope.

Thank you to those who have traveled to share the light of Jesus with the children of Southern Africa! These trips, regardless of their length, communicate to these children that they are loved beyond measure. Volunteers play with, encourage, teach, and build up the local churches in Mozambique and Zimbabwe by serving alongside Houses of Hope. Additionally, these trips serve as deeply impactful spiritual experiences for the volunteers.

Meet Regina! Regina is 15 years old and lives at our home in Zimbabwe. She attends Zezani High School and loves to run,try new things, and lead her brothers and sisters in games. She additionally loves to swim, with the rivers have water!

Meet Beyonce! Beyonce stays at our home in Zimbabwe. Sweet, kind, and servant-hearted, Beyonce loves to help care around the home and is the Vice Head Girl of her school. She can be very reserved, but once you get to know her, you can’t help but be amused by her wit and comforted by her gentleness!
