One of the BIGGEST high school rivalries in the STATE of ALABAMA, but when it’s all said and done we are just two schools separated by the tracks. The only two high schools in the Prichard/Whistler/Eightmile community. Congratulations to Vigor’s football team. We need you to represent for the City of Prichard and Mobile in the STATE finals and bring back a win.

The Alumni Association's Annual Food Drive is in progress. Please help us if you can and support our community by donating non-perishable goods and products. Items can be dropped off at Alumni Hall each TUESDAY until Thanksgiving beginning at 6:30 p.m. As always, your participation and support are helping us to achieve our mission to serve the students of BHS and the community. Monetary donations are also accepted.

We deeply regret that our classmate and friend Deborah Davis Caleb, Class of '70 has passed away. Deborah was a very supportive and dedicated member of the Alumni Association. Please extend your condolences to her family and keep them in your prayers.

Visitation: Friday, November 9, 2018 from 12-5 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 1302 St. Stephens Road, Prichard.
Visitation/Funeral: Saturday, November 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 funeral at Big Zion A.M.E. Church, 112 S. Bayou Street, Mobile.
Interment: Stockton, AL

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Allen Family of Eight Mile. Three family members were tragically lost in a house fire, two were Blount students. Their home was completely destroyed. Members of the Alumni Association were on campus today to help with grief counseling. The family desperately needs our continued prayers and support.

An early morning house fire claimed the lives of an Eight Mile man and two teenage daughters.

Everyone had a great time on the Alumni Cruise (9/4). Plans are in the works for a 2020 Alumni Cruise to Jamaica so stay tuned for more info from Tomzie Williams, '69.
