As we hear about more and more data center projects across eastern Kentucky, it's important for us to organize our communities to protect ourselves and our shared resources. KFTC's Energy Justice Organizers will help you learn about these projects and take action in your community.

Are you fighting a hyperscale data center proposal in your local community? Are you wondering how to know if there's a hyperscale data center planned for your local community? Is there a hyperscale data center under construction in your neighborhood & you want to fight back? Do you want to stop the....

Senate Bill 80 has passed the senate and moved on to the house. This is a voting rights bill, but it's a bill we can't support in its current form because it's not clear enough and it's not broad enough. It would restore very few people the right to vote and would sow more confusion into an already complicated process. We need more plans and more action to recruit members of the house to propose amendments to improve the bill - ideally creating a bill that excludes no one.

Ask legislators to amend SB 80 so it restores voting rights for all.

Senate Bill 80 has passed the senate and moved on to the house. This is a voting rights bill, but it's a bill we can't support in its current form because it's not clear enough and it's not broad enough. We need to amend it to make it stronger and exclude no one.

We are all heartbroken over the tragic death of Renee Good at the hands of ICE agents on Wednesday. She was a 37 year old mother of three and the widow of a veteran who was a legal observer at an ICE raid in Minneapolis Her death brings the number of people who have died in ICE custody or encounters this year to 33.
To mourn this loss and call for an end to ICE violence we are holding a walk in Prestonsburg this Sunday, Jan 11 at 1:00pm. Meet at the large parking lot off South Lake Drive, between Earl and Barnett Streets, just past the S curve. This will be a solemn procession. If possible, please wear your funeral or church clothes or black to show our grief. Signs are fine, but more importantly, just bring yourself. We will walk on the sidewalk as far as the parking lot opposite the library then walk back on the opposite sidewalk. Please share this invitation with your friends and at your church. All people of good will are welcome.
