Studies show that while men experience mental health problems at similar rates as women, they are less likely to seek help. If you’re a man experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, or feeling overwhelmed, you don’t have to handle it alone. Reaching out to a friend, family member, or a mental health professional is a sign of strength — not weakness. And if you care about a man in your life, check in. Start a conversation. Let him know you’re there to listen without judgment. Sometimes a simple “How are you really doing?” can make a difference. Some concerns require professional support, and it’s okay to seek help. Support is available, and talking about mental health can save lives. If you are in immediate distress or are thinking about hurting yourself, call or text the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline at 988 or chat at 988lifeline.org .
