VFW Post 5839 in Prestonsburg, KY 41653 is building a 6,000 sq ft facility to temporay house Veterans and their families who are homeless or lose their home due to natural disasters and loss of employment. Bowling Veterans Emergency Shelter is a non-profit origination that will provide Veterans with the resources to get back on their feet and become self-efficient. Keep in mind the VFW is funding

most of the cost to build but are in need of the community's help to make this possible and keep this shelter functioning. Every donation will help feed, clothes, provide a warm bed, and other resources necessary to Veterans. There are no donations too small or too large, every dime is very much appreciated.
