Mountain Therapeutic Foster Care We provide therapeutic foster care for kids in need in KY. We provide 24/7 support and foster parent training. Call for more information 606-263-4938.

Mountain Comprehensive Care Center’s Therapeutic Foster Care program is licensed with the state of Kentucky through the Office of Inspector General (OIG), and a member of the Children Alliance Program. We provide foster care and adoption services, serving many counties through our regional Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) offices. MCCC’s Therapeutic Foster Care program strives to provide quality services and support to maintain placement stability, offer therapeutic settings, help youth work toward permanency, and to establish a support system for foster parents and youth while in care. Mountain Comprehensive Care Center is CARF Accredited and provides an array of services throughout Kentucky.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by our Mountain Therapeutic Foster Care booth at the Kentucky Apple Festival! 🍎💙

We truly enjoyed getting to meet and speak with so many of you. We especially loved hearing your stories—whether you shared your own journey with foster care, talked about someone who made a difference in your life, or simply stopped by to learn a little more about what we do. Those conversations are what make events like this so meaningful.

Thank you for asking questions, sharing your experiences, grabbing some goodies, and spending a few minutes with us. We hope we were able to plant a few seeds along the way, too. You never know when opening your home and heart might completely change the course of a child’s life.

🍎 We’re headed to the Kentucky Apple Festival! 🍎

Mountain Therapeutic Foster Care will be at the 62nd Annual Kentucky Apple Festival in downtown Paintsville on October 2nd & 3rd from 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, and we’d love for you to stop by and see us!

Come say hello, learn more about becoming a foster parent, and find out about the services and support we provide to children and youth in foster care. Whether fostering is something you’ve seriously considered or you’re simply curious and have questions, we’d love the chance to talk with you.

You don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t have to have a “perfect” home or family. Sometimes changing a child’s life starts with simply being willing to learn more. ❤️

You don’t need a picture-perfect life to be a foster parent. 🏡💛

Kids don’t need perfect houses, Pinterest-worthy bedrooms, or parents who have all the answers. They need real people willing to show up, learn, laugh, listen, advocate, and provide a safe place to land.

Your home can be a little messy.
Dinner can occasionally be cereal. 🥣
The laundry can absolutely live in the dryer for three business days.

Perfect isn’t the requirement. Being willing to care is a pretty great place to start.

While Catherine may be one of the newest members of the Mountain Therapeutic Foster Care team, she’s already making a lasting impression. As a Service Coordinator, she’s embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships with the children and families she serves. Her willingness to ask questions, jump in wherever she’s needed, and advocate for those in her care has made her a wonderful addition to our team. If you’ve ever reached out about becoming a foster parent in the Hazard area, chances are Christy was one of the first friendly faces you met. She has a gift for making people feel welcome, answering questions with patience, and helping families feel confident as they begin their foster care journey. As a Recruitment & Certification Specialist, Christy walks alongside prospective foster parents from that very first conversation through the certification process, celebrating every milestone along the way. She believes that every new foster home has the potential to change a child’s life, and her passion for connecting caring families with children who need them shines through in everything she does. ✨ Employee Spotlight: Elizabeth Goble ✨

If you've ever called the office, needed paperwork, had a billing question, needed something tracked down, or wondered how something got done, there's a good chance Elizabeth had a hand in it. She wears a lot of hats at Mountain Therapeutic Foster Care and somehow manages to keep all of them balanced. From administrative duties and billing to helping staff, supporting foster families, and jumping in wherever she's needed, Elizabeth is often the glue that helps hold everything together behind the scenes. She's dependable, hardworking, and always willing to tackle whatever challenge lands on her desk. While she may not always be front and center, her impact can be felt throughout our entire program, and we're incredibly thankful for all she does each day. 💙
